MUGENÇ Held Its First Meeting

The youth organization MUGENÇ, established within the Mustafakemalpaşa Development Project Businessmen Association (MUGEP), held its first meeting at the association`s headquarters. The meeting, which saw strong participation from young members, was attended by MUGEP President Vahdettin Sevim, as well as some members of the board of directors and the general assembly.

Speaking at the meeting, MUGEP President Vahdettin Sevim emphasized that this gathering was more of an introductory meeting and a roadmap-making effort than a formal meeting, and delivered important messages regarding the establishment process of MUGENÇ. Sevim stated that MUGEP embarked on this journey for the development of Mustafakemalpaşa, and that youth is the most important pillar of this development. Therefore, he said, MUGENÇ emerged not as a goal, but as a necessity for the association.

Sevin stated that the main aim of MUGENÇ is for young people to both develop themselves and participate in ideas that will contribute to the district, adding that this organization will be an important opportunity for young people, providing an environment that will expand their networks and vision.

The importance of young people establishing their own internal organizations was also discussed at the meeting, and it was stated that MUGENÇ members could regularly carry out their work by appointing a president and vice-president. It was emphasized that this structure is necessary not just for formality, but for organization, communication, and idea generation.

MUGEP President Sevim also stated that MUGENÇ members are not only considered a youth group, but also a structure that will actively participate in all the work carried out by the association. For example, it was stated that the contribution of young people would be important in the work of the Fair and Festival Commission, which is planned to be established in the district. It was conveyed that young people could actively participate in organization, promotion, social media, and idea development in this process.

Seminar and training plans for young people were also discussed at the meeting. It was planned to organize training programs on topics such as entrepreneurship, communication, social media, financial literacy, career planning, local development, leadership, and project writing; and it was stated that these events would be open not only to MUGENÇ members but also to other young people and the public in the district.

In addition, it was noted that MUGEP member businesspeople operate in various sectors, and that internship and work observation programs could be created for young people according to their interests. It was also emphasized that efforts would be made to support young people`s project ideas, guide them with the right connections, and encourage entrepreneurship.

Stating that sincerity and collective intelligence would be one of MUGENÇ`s fundamental principles, Sevim called on young people to speak without hesitation, generate ideas, and offer solutions while criticizing. She stated that the expectation from young people was not perfection, but rather willingness and responsibility.

At the end of the meeting, young members took the floor to share their views and suggestions. With the contributions of the participants, the basic goals of the youth organization were determined at MUGENÇ`s first meeting, and the first step towards future planning was taken.

It was stated that MUGENÇ would hold regular meetings at certain intervals in the future, and that the decisions made and meeting minutes would be shared with the association management and announced to the public.

The MUGEP management expressed its satisfaction with the interest shown by the youth, stating that the MUGENÇ organization is one of the first examples that can be shown for our district and even our country in terms of association organizations, and that it is an important step for the development of Mustafakemalpaşa and therefore our country.
